Job summary

Leonardo UK is seeking a Lead Supportability Engineer to lead a team of engineers delivering reliability, maintainability, testability and safety analyses for complex systems. You will collaborate with Project Managers, Operations and IPTs to guide Supportability requirements and provide actionable analysis.

You will mentor junior staff, drive continuous improvement, and contribute to best practices while supporting through-life cost modelling and in-service strategies.

Qualifications

• Degree in a relevant engineering or science discipline.
• Worked in industry, defence or have other relevant experience.
• Strong experience of leading and developing teams
• Commercial and business awareness.
• Experience in engineering management and delivery of project work packages
• Ability to manage complex situations with sound judgement and the ability to balance conflicting challenges

Responsibilities

• Lead a team of Supportability Engineers delivering a wide range of work packages.
• Advise on Supportability requirements and provide analysis to IPTs.
• Ensure milestones are completed to schedule and budget with technical quality.
• Provide input into Life Cycle Management reviews.
• Work with IPT to reduce cost and risk across the lifecycle and promote improved ways of working.
