Job summary

Leonardo DRS in Basildon is seeking an experienced integrated supportability engineer to join the team. You will analyse design, influence reliability, maintainability, and through-life costing to meet customer requirements, contributing across disciplines and guiding next-generation Leonardo products.

Qualifications

• Experience in support design reviews and customer meetings.
• Experience in ILS on mission-critical programmes.
• Familiar with Defence Logistics Framework and Def Stan 00-600.
• Knowledge of ILS methods including analysis, software support, safety and maintenance.
• Experience applying AR&M methodologies in engineering projects.
• Strong stakeholder skills and ability to influence.
• Higher National Certificate or above in engineering/science or defence experience.
• Familiar with tools such as Windchill, Reliasoft, OPUS, Simlox, MATLAB/Simulink, Jira or Python.

Responsibilities

• Analyse and influence the design of Leonardo products for reliability and maintainability.
• Own and contribute to a range of supportability analysis tasks.
• Develop understanding of through-life costing principles.
• Tailor programmes of work to applicable standards and guidance.
• Apply supportability tools effectively.
• Contribute to team tasks and outputs.
• Work closely with other disciplines daily.
• Produce work independently with sound judgement.
• Support and develop other team members.
• Identify problems and propose solutions.
• Peer-review colleagues' work.
• Identify opportunities for continuous improvement.
