Job summary

Leonardo UK seeks a Lead Supportability Engineer to lead a team delivering diverse supportability work packages across the project lifecycle. You will provide guidance and analysis on requirements, reliability, maintainability and safety to cross-functional IPTs.

The role emphasises continuous improvement, mentoring of junior staff and development of best practices within the department, with hybrid working options and a strong focus on delivering value.

Qualifications

• Degree in a relevant engineering or science discipline.
• Worked in industry, defence or have other relevant experience.
• Strong experience of leading and developing teams.
• Commercial and business awareness.
• Experience in engineering management and delivery of project work packages.
• Ability to manage complex situations with sound judgement and the ability to balance conflicting challenges.

Responsibilities

• Lead a team of Supportability Engineers delivering diverse work packages.
• Advise on Supportability requirements and provide analysis to IPTs.
• Develop reliability, maintainability, testability and safety analyses.
• Support Life Cycle Management reviews and cost modelling.
• Collaborate to reduce cost and risk across the lifecycle and drive improvements.
• Schedule and chair project cost review activities.
