Elysium St Mawes in Cornwall is hiring a Lead Spa Therapist to join our opening team. You will deliver professional spa, massage, facial and body treatments across our two treatment rooms and hydro pool, while ensuring a calm, welcoming guest experience.

The role combines hands-on treatment delivery with daily spa operations, leadership of fellow therapists, and a passion for creating memorable guest experiences as we shape the spa from day one.

Responsibilities

• Delivering a range of professional spa, massage, facial and body treatments to a consistently high standard
• Carrying out appropriate guest consultations before treatments, identifying individual needs, preferences, contraindications and any relevant health considerations
• Ensuring all spa guests are offered and served refreshments, including drinks, throughout their visit
• Taking responsibility for the daily operation and presentation of the spa, ensuring the hydro pool, treatment rooms, changing areas and relaxation spaces are clean, welcoming and appropriately prepared throughout the day
• Providing day-to-day leadership and support to other therapists working within the spa
• Leading by example in guest service, professional standards, punctuality, presentation and teamwork

Job description

We’re looking for a Lead Spa Therapist to join the opening team at Elysium St Mawes.

With two treatment rooms and a hydro pool, this will be a hands-on role combining exceptional treatment delivery with responsibility for the smooth day-to-day running of the spa.

You’ll be creating a calm, welcoming and highly personalised experience for our guests, while also supporting the wider hotel team and helping us shape the spa experience from the very beginning.

What you will be doing

• Delivering a range of professional spa, massage, facial and body treatments to an consistently high standard
• Carrying out appropriate guest consultations before treatments, identifying individual needs, preferences, contraindications and any relevant health considerations.
• Ensuring all spa guests are offered and served refreshments, including drinks, throughout their visit
• Taking responsibility for the daily operation and presentation of the spa, ensuring the hydro pool, treatment rooms, changing areas and relaxation spaces are clean, welcoming and appropriately prepared throughout the day.
• Providing day-to-day leadership and support to other therapists working within the spa
