Job summary

The Newt in Somerset is seeking a Spa Therapist & Host to welcome guests, deliver spa treatments to a five-star standard, and coordinate appointments. The role requires NVQ Level 2/3 Spa Therapy or equivalent, hospitality experience, and a driving licence is recommended due to estate location.

Salary is £21,500 per annum plus troncs and fantastic benefits. 32 hours per week across weekdays and weekends with early and late shifts; driving may be needed for estate access.

Qualifications

  • NVQ Level 2 and 3 Spa Therapy qualifications, or equivalent, with strong experience delivering spa treatments.
  • Relevant massage or holistic therapy certifications (e.g., Swedish, deep tissue, aromatherapy).
  • Attentive guest care with high standards in service.
  • Clear written and verbal English communication; basic computer skills.
  • Good organisation and time management to complete treatments within appointment times.
  • Collaborative approach with positive feedback response.
  • Experience in hosting, reception or customer service in spa/hospitality is advantageous.
  • International spa experience and additional holistic therapies welcome.

  • Follow health and safety training and business requirements.

Key Responsibilities
  • Welcome guests with warm, professional and personalised care, anticipating their needs throughout their visit.
  • Deliver spa treatments to a five-star standard, following training and treatment protocols.

What we’re looking for
  • NVQ Level 2 and 3 Spa Therapy qualifications, or equivalent, with strong experience delivering spa treatments.

  • Previous hosting, reception or customer service experience, ideally within a spa or hospitality setting, would be an advantage.
  • International spa experience and additional holistic therapy qualifications would be welcome.
