Job summary

Checkout.com is seeking a seasoned Issuing Solutions Engineer in London to drive technical deal execution and architect card issuing solutions for high-velocity, global deals.

You will lead live demos, map client requirements to our APIs, and collaborate with Sales, Account Managers, and Implementation Engineers from discovery through go-live, ensuring robust, compliant issuing programs and strong customer partnerships.

Qualifications

• 5+ years in a high-velocity, client-facing technical role (Sales Engineer, Solutions Architect, Pre-Sales Consultant, Implementation Engineer, or Technical Account Manager).
• Proven track record operating in fast-paced commercial environments, managing deal priorities with sales and operations teams.
• Mandatory UK & EEA issuing experience: designing, launching or supporting card programs.
• Issuing domain knowledge: card program mechanics, BIN ranges, issuer processing, scheme compliance.
• Payment foundations: end-to-end payment flows, 3DS, tokenisation, SCA and fraud engine basics.

Responsibilities

• Drive Technical Deal Execution with Sales and Issuing Operations to position Checkout.com’s card issuing platform in high-stakes deals.
• Architect Card Issuing solutions by mapping client requirements to APIs and workflows.
• Build & Demonstrate live demos, create POCs, and tailor presentations for developers and executives.
• Provide Issuing domain leadership across Authorization & Settlement, Network Tokenisation, 3DS, Fraud/Regulatory controls.
• Lead client technical discussions from discovery through go-live with Implementation Engineers.
• Support complex procurement (RFPs/RFIs) with technical and security queries.
• Capture customer feedback to drive product improvements and features.
• Maintain mastery of Checkout.com’s issuing platform and regulatory landscapes.
• Own the full lifecycle from pre-sales to post-launch technical support and ongoing client relationship.
