Job summary

Checkout.com in London is seeking an experienced Issuing Operations specialist to drive technical deal execution and architect card issuing solutions. You will lead live demos, build POCs, and guide clients from discovery to go-live, collaborating with Sales, Implementation Engineers, and Product teams.

The role requires 5+ years in a fast-paced, client-facing technical environment with UK/EEA issuing experience. A strong background in payments, 3DS, tokenisation, and fraud controls is essential.

Qualifications

• 5+ years in a high-velocity, client-facing technical role (Sales Engineer, Solutions Architect, Pre-Sales Consultant, Implementation Engineer, or TAM).
• Proven ability to operate in fast-paced commercial environments alongside sales/ops teams.
• UK & EEA issuing experience is mandatory.
• Deep understanding of card program mechanics, issuing infrastructure, and regulatory landscapes.
• Strong grasp of end-to-end payment flows, 3DS, network tokenisation, SCA, and fraud mechanics.

Responsibilities

• Drive technical deal execution with Sales and Issuing Operations to win complex multi-product deals.
• Architect card issuing solutions mapping client requirements to APIs and workflows.
• Build and demonstrate live technical demos and POCs for diverse audiences.
• Lead client technical interactions from discovery through go-live.
• Support RFP/RFI responses with technical, security, and design input.
• Provide feedback to Product/Engineering based on real-world client needs.
• Maintain mastery of Checkout.com’s issuing platform and evolving regulations.
