Job summary

Checkout.com, headquartered in London, is seeking a Senior Specialist to join the Issuing Operations team. You will own the end-to-end onboarding of new issuer clients, coordinating with Sales, Finance, Risk, Legal, and Engineering to define requirements and deliver card programs.

You will drive all onboarding milestones, liaise with Visa/Mastercard and third-party providers, and ensure a compliant go-live with robust processes and operational readiness.

Qualifications

• Experience: 3+ years in payments with project delivery, product delivery, scheme management, technical onboarding, or issuing operations.
• Scheme & supplier knowledge: understanding card schemes and fintech suppliers.
• Delivery focus: proven track record of managing customer-facing projects and dependencies to meet deadlines.
• Problem-solving: approach challenges with a qualitative mindset to find efficient solutions.
• Communication: ability to explain technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders and external partners.
• High-volume execution: balance multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
• Process discipline: comfortable owning administrative tasks to ensure launch readiness.

Responsibilities

• End-to-End Implementation: manage onboarding activities for new Issuing clients, ensuring milestones are met.
• External Project Contribution: participate in projects with Card Schemes (Visa/Mastercard) and third-party providers.
• Stakeholder Coordination: act as the central hub between Sales, Finance, Risk, Legal, and Engineering.
• Client Relationship Management: be the point of contact during implementation, translating requirements into plans.
• Process Refinement: identify bottlenecks and build workflows to improve speed and efficiency.
• Operational Readiness: ensure internal teams are briefed and prepared for go-live.
• Operational Rigor: manage background admin and config tasks to ensure solid, compliant projects.
