Lead Site Reliability Engineer

Location: Remote working with 1 day in every 2 weeks at our Stoke-On-Trent office (5 mins from station).

The SRE Team:

Our site reliability engineers (SREs) ensure high availability, stellar performance, and feature-rich experiences for our users.

About the role:

This hands-on role involves working with the Software Engineering team to manage the SRE function daily, collaborating with the Head of Engineering and cross-functional teams to develop solutions and positive user experiences.

The successful candidate will lead and shape our approach to the maturity, security, performance, and scalability of our software and services across cloud infrastructure, with significant autonomy.

Key skills include:

  1. Site Reliability Engineering/DevOps/Infrastructure/Platform management
  2. Development and deployment of APIs using containerized environments like Kubernetes
  3. Implementing/enhancing Infrastructure as Code (IaC) with Terraform
  4. Collaborating with stakeholders in an agile environment
  5. Leading, coaching, and mentoring team members
  6. Experience with AWS services such as IAM, S3, EKS, Networking
  7. Using CloudFormation/CDK
  8. Exposure to serverless computing
