Lead Site Reliability Engineer

Location: Remote working with 1 day every 2 weeks at our Stoke-On-Trent office (5 mins from station).

Salary: £Competitive + company benefits (Full-time/permanent role)

Our site reliability engineers (SREs) empower users with high availability, stellar performance, and rich features to pursue their goals.

About the Role:

This hands-on role involves working within the Software Engineering team to manage the SRE function daily, collaborating with the Head of Engineering and cross-functional teams to develop solutions and enhance user experiences.

The successful candidate will lead and shape our strategy for the maturity, security, performance, and scalability of our software and services across cloud infrastructure, enjoying significant autonomy.

Key skills include:

  1. Site Reliability Engineering, DevOps, Infrastructure, Platform management
  2. API development and deployment using containerized environments like Kubernetes
  3. Implementing and enhancing Infrastructure as Code, specifically Terraform
  4. Working with business stakeholders in an agile environment
  5. Leading, coaching, and mentoring team members
  6. Experience with AWS services such as IAM, S3, EKS, Networking
  7. Using CloudFormation/CDK
  8. Working with serverless computing
