Job summary

Amey Ltd is seeking a Principal OLE Engineer to join our Consulting Rail team, with offices across the UK including Birmingham, Derby, York, Bristol, Manchester and Cardiff. You will lead technical teams and oversee design work for major rail projects.

You will manage schemes from concept through design, ensuring quality, safety and value, while contributing to bids and leading health and safety practices.

Qualifications

• Senior Engineer level experience or equivalent.
• Ability to lead production of technically sound design solutions.
• Experience in health, safety and welfare management (CDM).
• Engineering lead capability for Network Rail schemes.
• Incorporated or Chartered status or equivalent professional licence.

Responsibilities

• Lead technical teams and provide guidance to clients and suppliers.
• Lead preparation and checking of designs, calculations, drawings and documentation.
• Manage budgets and costs for deliverables.
• Liaise with client and supplier representatives and present proposals.
• Contribute to bids and the work winning process.
• Drive health and safety practices within the team.
