Job summary

Amey Consulting is seeking a Principal OLE Engineer to lead multi-disciplinary teams across UK offices, delivering complex rail infrastructure designs and ensuring compliance with industry standards. You will shape technical strategy, drive design quality and contribute to bids while managing safety and budget expectations.

You will operate in a hybrid environment, coordinating with clients, suppliers and internal teams to deliver high-value schemes across the UK rail network, with opportunities

Qualifications

• Qualified engineer with Chartered status or equivalent
• Experience leading multi-disciplinary design teams
• Knowledge of Network Rail standards and CDM requirements

Responsibilities

• Lead technical teams across offices and sites
• Oversee design development, calculations and drawings
• Manage project budgets and cost control for deliverables
• Liaise with clients and suppliers at peer and senior levels
• Contribute to bids and technical/ commercial offers
• Champion health and safety practices within the team
