Job summary

Amey is seeking an Assistant OLE Engineer to join our Consulting Rail team. You will contribute across the lifecycle of rail projects from inception to completion, working with a skilled team in a collaborative environment.

The role expects a graduate engineer with rail exposure, knowledge of design processes, and a commitment to safety. With offices across Birmingham, Derby, York, Bristol, Manchester and Cardiff, we offer diverse development opportunities and a clear career path.

Qualifications

• We welcome applicants with a rail sector background at graduate engineer level.
• Knowledge of rail design processes and procedures.
• Ability to produce technically sound rail engineering solutions.
• Awareness of health and safety regulations in rail projects.
• Degree in an engineering subject or equivalent

Responsibilities

• Work in a team producing technically sound engineering solutions.
• Support project management and technical delivery from inception to completion.
• Prepare and check designs, calculations, drawings and documentation.
• Promote health and safety practices within the team.
