As a Lead Quality Engineer Regulatory Compliance, you’ll play a crucial role in ensuring our products and processes meet all the relevant regulatory standards and requirements. Your work will be essential in maintaining compliance with aviation regulations through monitoring and promotion activities, developing and maintaining elements of management systems, whilst driving continuous improvement initiatives to enhance product and process safety and quality. You will be responsible for key Quality and Compliance metrics and will drive continuous performance improvement through direct, hands‑on engagement with cross‑functional partners.
Responsibilities
- Ensure business processes compliance with all relevant regulatory standards AS9100, ISO9001, CAA Part21 and Part145.
- Support company's internal audit program in development, execution and improvements covering all approvals from design, production and maintenance.
- Carry out internal audits by effective planning and execution to monitor compliance to both elements of the management system Safety & Quality.
- Collaborate with cross‑functional business teams to address audit findings and implement corrective actions.
- Develop and maintain regulatory training materials and manage training program such as SMS, FOD, Human Factors, Counterfeit Training etc.
- Empower staff with knowledge on regulatory requirements and quality standards through impactful training sessions.
- Support and Lead business safety meetings (SAG) to ensure effective operation of Safety Management System.
- Ensure the effectiveness of the business Safety Management System (SMS) by diligently following up on Safety and Quality actions and reviewing corrective actions implementation.
- Lead structured problem‑solving initiatives to identify the true root cause and action plans, verify effectiveness and sustainment through standard work.
- Lead transformative continuous improvements using lean methodologies to optimise business processes and improve SQDC outcomes and visual management.
- Ensure company quality procedures are up to date with the aviation regulations and quality standards.
Qualifications
- Qualified Internal Auditor or certification in Quality Management.
- Working knowledge of CAA & EASA Regulations.
- Knowledge of SMS (Safety Management System) requirements.
- Working knowledge of AS9100/ISO9001 requirements.
- Experience in implementing and maintaining Quality Management Systems.
- Competent in IT skills, business applications and their usage in processes along with MS Office applications.
