Job summary

Boots is hiring a Pharmacy Technician to deliver outstanding patient-centred service and lead the dispensary team. You will triage patients, provide expert advice on medicines, and coach colleagues to maintain the highest standard of care.

The role involves stock management, order fulfilment, and safe handling of controlled drugs, with emphasis on patient safety and regulatory compliance. Training will be provided where needed, and flexible working options may be discussed.

Qualifications

• Registered with the relevant pharmacy regulator (GPhC/PSNI/PSI).
• Experience coaching and leading a dispensary team is a plus.
• Excellent communication and organisational skills.
• Motivation to improve teams, customers and patients.
• Desire to provide outstanding patient care and services.
• Ability to use pharmacy systems and technology.

Responsibilities

• Provide expert, tailored advice to patients about medicines and services.
• Deliver store-specific pharmacy services.
• Coach and inspire the pharmacy team to deliver high‑quality care.
• Assist with triage of patients and distribution of prescription handouts.
• Ensure legal, safe, and ethical decision-making in the pharmacy.
• Manage stock, workload, orders, and controlled drugs handling with patient safety in mind.
