Job summary

Boots Pharmacy is seeking a Pharmacy Technician to deliver outstanding patient-centred service, triage patients, coach the team, and provide expert medicines guidance in-store. The role emphasises safe, legal practice and high care standards within a busy Boots pharmacy environment.

Ideal candidates will be registered with GPhC/PSNI/PSI, possess strong communication skills, and be adept with pharmacy systems. Training for checking duties is provided where needed.

Qualifications

• Registered with the relevant pharmacy regulator (GPhC, PSNI, PSI).
• Strong coaching and leadership skills to inspire a dispensary team.
• Excellent communication and organisational abilities for patient care.
• Motivation to change things for the better for teams, customers and patients.
• Ability to use pharmacy systems and technology effectively.
• Previous checking experience desirable but training will be provided.

Responsibilities

• Providing expert, tailored advice to patients about medicines and products.
• Delivering services as required by store needs.
• Coaching and leading the pharmacy team to deliver high standards of care.
• Assisting with triage of patients and distribution of prescription handouts.
• Taking ownership for legal, safe and ethical decision-making in the pharmacy.
• Managing stock, workload, order fulfilment, receiving and handling controlled drugs with patient safety in mind.
