Job summary

Boots is seeking a Pharmacy Technician to deliver patient-centred service, provide expert medicine advice, and support the pharmacy team. You will triage patients, coach staff, and ensure safe, ethical dispensing while managing stock and workflow.

Previous checking experience is welcome but training will be provided; DBS/ PVG/ Access NI checks may apply depending on location. Boots offers benefits and career progression opportunities.

Qualifications

• Must be registered with the relevant pharmacy regulator (GPhC/PSNI/PSI).
• Demonstrates ability to coach and lead a dispensary team.
• Excellent communication and organisational skills.
• Motivated to improve services for teams, customers and patients.
• Desire to deliver outstanding patient care.

Responsibilities

• Providing expert, tailored advice to patients about medicines and products.
• Delivering services as required by store needs.
• Coaching and inspiring pharmacy team to deliver high-quality care.
• Triage of patients and distribution of prescription handouts.
• Ensure legal, safe and ethical decision-making in the pharmacy.
• Manage stock, workload, orders, and handling of controlled drugs with patient safety.
