Job summary

National Highways is seeking an Engineer to join the Pavement/Roads Team in the South East region. You will lead development and delivery of pavement renewal schemes to ensure that SRN safely meets customer needs now and in the future.

In the planning and development stage you will coordinate with project teams and third parties, provide technical support, ensure adherence to DMRB standards, and contribute to asset studies and value management.

Qualifications

• Membership of professional Body (desirable) or working towards Membership.
• Degree or HND in relevant discipline and appropriate experience, or equivalent.
• Good knowledge of DMRB standards and their application on the highway network.
• Experience in highway infrastructure design, construction and delivery methods.
• Good knowledge of CDM 2015

Responsibilities

• Lead in the development and delivery of pavement renewal schemes.
• Coordinate works across the region with project teams and third parties.
• Provide technical support to Project Managers, vetting contractors' compliance and site inspections.
• Assist with materials approvals and review of Health and Safety Files.
• Develop the technical briefs for design and construction contractors.
