Job summary

National Highways is seeking an Engineer to join the Pavement/Roads Team in the South East region. You will lead the development and delivery of pavement renewal schemes to keep the SRN safe and reliable for customers.

You will work with project teams and stakeholders, provide technical support, and develop briefs for design and construction contractors, ensuring compliance with standards and asset strategies.

Qualifications

• Relevant experience in highway infrastructure design and renewal projects.
• Ability to lead technical investigations and develop early solutions.
• Strong coordination with project teams and third parties.

Responsibilities

• Lead development and delivery of pavement renewal schemes.
• Coordinate works across the South East region with stakeholders.
• Provide technical support to Project Managers and contractors.
• Develop and check technical briefs for design and construction.
• Assist with materials approvals and site inspections.
• Ensure compliance with asset class strategies, policies and standards.
