Job summary

National Highways is seeking an Engineer to join the Pavement/Roads Team in the South East region. You will lead the development and delivery of pavement renewal schemes to ensure the strategic road network remains safe and reliable for customers.

You will support asset studies, coordinate with project teams and third parties, and develop briefs for designers and contractors, while upholding DMRB standards and safety requirements.

Qualifications

• Degree or HND in relevant discipline and appropriate experience, or equivalent.
• Good knowledge of DMRB standards and their application on the highway network.
• Experience in highway infrastructure design, construction and delivery methods.
• Good knowledge of CDM 2015.

Responsibilities

• Lead in the development and delivery of pavement renewal schemes for the SRN.
• Support asset studies and prioritise needs to keep assets in serviceable condition.
• Provide technical support to Project Managers including materials approvals and site inspections.
• Develop technical briefs for design and construction contractors.
