Job summary

National Highways in the South East region is seeking an Engineer to join the Pavement/Roads Team to lead the development and delivery of a wide range of pavement renewal schemes, ensuring the SRN safely meets customer needs now and in the future.

In this role you will support early solutions, coordinate works with project teams and third parties, and ensure adherence to asset strategies, policies and standards.

Qualifications

• Degree or HND in relevant discipline or equivalent.
• Good knowledge of DMRB standards and their application on the highway network.
• Experience in highway infrastructure design, construction and delivery methods.
• Good knowledge of CDM 2015.

Responsibilities

• Lead development and delivery of pavement renewal schemes.
• Coordinate works across the region with project teams and third parties.
• Provide technical support, asset studies and survey prioritisation to keep assets in serviceable condition.
• Develop technical briefs for design and construction contractors for improvements and renewals.
• Support Project Managers with materials approvals, contractor vetting and site inspections.
