Job summary

BAM Ground Engineering is recruiting a Senior Utility Surveyor in the UK to lead utility surveys from initiation to delivery, utilising GPR, GPS and total stations. The role includes producing PAS 128 compliant outputs and coordinating with Project Managers and CAD operators.

You will build client relationships, mentor junior staff, and contribute to equipment maintenance, health & safety planning, and broader business growth. Travel to clients nationwide is required.

Qualifications

• Extensive utility surveying experience, including PAS 128.
• Proven leadership in delivering surveys to clients.
• Strong communication and client-facing skills.
• Willingness to travel nationwide.

Responsibilities

• Lead utility survey projects from start to finish to high standards.
• Provide specialist technical support to deliver on time, on budget, to quality.
• Utilise modern surveying methods: total stations, GPS, GPR.
• Record underground assets and manhole inspection reports.
• Deliver survey reports to Project Managers and CAD operators per standards.
• Build and maintain client relationships for project success.
• Mentor junior surveyors and support their development.
• Perform quality checks onsite and ensure smooth handover.
• Maintain functionality of survey equipment.
• Health & Safety risk assessment and planning.
