Job summary

BAM Ground Engineering is recruiting for a Senior Utility Surveyor in the UK to lead PAS 128 surveys and drive growth of our utility surveying capability. You will deliver field surveys, post-process data, and produce PAS 128 compliant outputs, while mentoring junior surveyors and supporting business growth.

Based in the UK, you will travel to sites as required, applying total stations, GPS and GPR, and maintaining high safety and quality standards across projects.

Qualifications

• Multiple years' experience delivering utility surveys, preferably in a senior or leadership role.
• Strong understanding of PAS 128 and TSA; essential.
• Proficient in surveying technologies including GPR and electromagnetic locating systems.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with clients and teams.
• Proven ability to mentor and guide junior team members.

Responsibilities

• Lead utility survey projects from start to finish with high standards.
• Provide specialist technical support to ensure timely, quality delivery.
• Utilise modern surveying methods and equipment (total stations, GPS, GPR).
• Record underground assets and generate PAS 128 compliant outputs.
• Deliver reports to Project Managers and CAD Operators; mentor staff.
• Build client relationships and assist in project quoti ng and planning.
• Maintain equipment functionality and conduct safety risk assessments.
