Job summary

BAM Ground Engineering is seeking a Senior Utility Surveyor to lead PAS 128 utility surveys and detection services. You will manage projects from inception to delivery, using GPR, GPS, and total stations while mentoring junior team members and liaising with clients.

The role offers travel to projects nationwide, development of standards, and opportunities to grow a dedicated utility surveying team within BAM. Strong communication and safety focus are essential for success.

Qualifications

• Multiple years of experience delivering utility surveys, preferably in a senior or leadership role.
• Strong understanding of industry standards and PAS 128; TSA knowledge is essential.
• Proficient in surveying technologies including GPR and electromagnetic location systems.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with clients and project teams.
• Ability to mentor junior surveyors and manage changing workloads.

Responsibilities

• Lead utility survey projects from start to finish with high quality outputs.
• Provide specialist technical support to ensure timely, on-budget delivery.
• Use modern surveying methods and equipment (Total Stations, GPS, GPR).
• Record underground assets and manhole inspection data accurately.
• Deliver PAS 128 compliant survey reports to Project Managers and CAD Operators.
• Build strong client relationships and provide technical advice during quotes.
