BAM Ground Engineering is seeking a Senior Utility Surveyor to lead PAS128 utility surveys and detection services, initially delivering projects and later helping build a broader utility surveying team.

The role requires strong PAS 128 knowledge, networked communication with clients and site teams, and willingness to travel to projects as needed. Excellent safety and data quality standards are essential.

Qualifications

• Multiple years' experience delivering utility surveys.
• Strong understanding of PAS 128 and TSA; essential.
• Proficient in surveying technologies including GPR and location systems.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills; client management.
• Demonstrated ability to mentor junior team members.
• Possess a clean and valid manual driving licence.

Responsibilities

• Lead utility survey projects from start to finish with high standards.
• Provide technical support to ensure timely, on-budget delivery.
• Utilise modern surveying methods and equipment (total stations, GPS, GPR).
• Record underground utility assets and prepare PAS 128 outputs.
• Deliver reports to Project Managers and CAD Operators per standards.
• Build and maintain strong client relationships for project outcomes.
• Mentor junior surveyors and support their development.
• Maintain functionality of all survey equipment and ensure safety compliance.
