Job summary

BAM Ground Engineering is seeking a Senior Utility Surveyor to lead PAS 128 utility surveys and detection services across projects in the UK. You will work hands-on with modern surveying equipment and help develop systems and standards for future growth.

Key responsibilities include delivering high-quality PAS 128 outputs, mentoring junior surveyors, and supporting business development while maintaining safety and client satisfaction.

Qualifications

• Proven delivery of utility surveys and PAS 128 outputs.
• Strong understanding of industry standards and TSA knowledge.
• Proficiency with GPR, EM locators, GPS and precision surveying equipment.
• Excellent client management and communication skills.
• Ability to mentor junior staff and lead project teams.
• Clean, valid driving license is required.

Responsibilities

• Lead utility survey projects from start to finish to ensure high quality outputs.
• Provide technical support to deliver projects on time, budget and quality.
• Utilise modern surveying methods and equipment (GPR, total stations, GPS).
• Record underground assets and prepare PAS 128 compliant outputs.
• Deliver survey reports to Project Managers and CAD operators.
• Build strong client relationships and provide technical advice.
