Job summary

BAM Ground Engineering is seeking a Senior Utility Surveyor to lead PAS 128 utility surveys and detection services. You will deliver projects from start to finish, support systems and processes, and help grow a broader utility surveying capability across UK sites.

The role involves mentoring junior staff, coordinating with Project Managers and CAD Operators, and ensuring safe, accurate data capture with modern surveying tools. Travel to sites nationwide is required.

Qualifications

• Multiple years experience delivering utility surveys, preferably in a senior or leadership role.
• Strong PAS 128 awareness and TSA knowledge essential.
• Proficient with GPR and electromagnetic locating tools.
• Excellent communication, client management and team mentoring abilities.

Responsibilities

• Lead utility survey projects from start to finish with high quality outcomes.
• Provide specialist technical support to ensure on-time, on-budget delivery.
• Utilise modern surveying methods and equipment (TPS, GPS, GPR).
• Record underground assets and produce PAS 128 compliant outputs.
• Develop client relationships and contribute to business growth.
• Mentor junior surveyors and oversee quality checks onsite.
