This is an exciting opportunity to take on a senior nursing leadership role within a large and diverse care center. As the Lead Nurse/Deputy Care Center Director, you will have the chance to make a real difference in the lives of people with complex neurological conditions, providing strong and robust leadership to the nursing team. You will work closely with the Care Center Director, attending both internal and external meetings, and be responsible for ensuring high-quality care, compliance with regulations, and continuous improvement within the service.

Main duties of the job

As the Lead Nurse/Deputy Care Center Director, you will be responsible for providing strong and robust leadership within the Lakefields Neurological Centre, a 22-bed facility for people with neurological and spinal conditions. You will have extensive senior manager experience in healthcare and be ready for a new challenge. Your role will involve leading and guiding a team of nurses, monitoring quality outcomes, and deputizing for the Care Center Director in attending internal and external meetings. You will promote a culture of teamwork and cooperation, encourage potential, provide support, and set goals to drive performance and standards. The successful candidate will have at least 5 years of respiratory ward/ITU experience, a detailed understanding of statutory regulations, and the ability to oversee and deliver quality objectives.

Join Lakefields Neurological Centre as the Lead Nurse/ Deputy Care Centre Director and be part of helping some of the most vulnerable people in society.

You’ll support the Care Centre Director in providing strong and robust leadership. Lakefields is a fully refurbished 22-bed neurological service for people with neurological and spinal conditions who require specialist rehabilitation following an Acquired Brain Injury (ABI), Traumatic Brain Injury (TBI) or other neurological condition.

As a senior member of the nursing team, you will have experience within a similar setting from the NHS and/or Private Care. You will lead and guide a team of nurses to provide exceptional care. You will be involved in all operational functions of the service with specific accountability for monitoring quality outcomes and development within the service.

In deputising for the Care Centre Director, you will be required to attend both internal and external meetings with key stakeholders.

Your already strong leadership qualities will ensure a strong culture of teamwork and cooperation, encouraging potential, providing support and setting goals to drive performance and standards.

As the Lead Nurse/ Deputy Care Centre Director, you will be:

As experienced RGN with tracheostomy -ventilator care experience you will provide a high profile, visible clinical leadership to the hospital wide nursing team. You will promote and safeguard the well-being and interests of all service users, employees and visitors. You will ensure that standards of patient care are maintained at all times within the parameters of operational policies and governing legislation.
