Job summary

A major healthcare provider in England is seeking a Senior Staff Nurse for the Trevor Howell Day Unit. The successful candidate will provide leadership to the nursing team and administer Systemic Anti-Cancer Therapies to day patients. Required qualifications include being a Registered Nurse with a SACT qualification and at least two years of post-registration experience. This role offers a salary range of £46,419 to £55,046 per annum, including HCAS (pro-rata).

Qualifications

• Minimum of two years post registration experience, of which at least 1 year should be within the specialty.
• Ability to identify stress in self and others and to take effective action to manage the situation.
• Understanding of clinical governance and risk assessment.

Responsibilities

• Lead and coordinate the team administering Systemic Anti-Cancer Therapies to patients.
• Maintain high standards of care for patients, meeting trust values.
• Work autonomously and assess, plan, implement and evaluate care.

Skills

Cannulation and venepuncture

Management of central venous access devices

Evidence of leadership roles and skills

Ability to prioritise own workload and that of other staff

Attended a clinical leadership programme

Evidence of implementing a change into practice

Education

Registered Nurse (Adult)

Systemic Anti-Cancer Therapy qualification

Proof of study at level 6/7 or prepared to undertake level 6/7 study
