Job summary

Glanua seeks a Mechanical Project Engineer to lead design and integration for water and wastewater MEICA projects in the UK. You will oversee site surveys, detailed design, procurement, and subcontractor coordination across MEICA and civil works.

You will collaborate with multi-disciplinary teams, manage budgets and schedules, and ensure health, safety, and environmental standards are met throughout the project lifecycle.

Qualifications

• Degree in Mechanical Engineering; Chartered status preferred.
• 3+ years in water/wastewater project environments with budget/timeline oversight.
• Ability to lead mechanical design and coordinate across disciplines (civil, electrical, ICA, H&S).
• Proficiency with design tools and project scheduling software.

Responsibilities

• Lead mechanical design and system integration for water and wastewater projects.
• Oversee site surveys, detailed design, and tender pricing for mechanical works.
• Coordinate with civil, process, electrical, ICA, and H&S teams for seamless integration.
• Procurement and equipment selection of pumps, valves, tanks, and pipework.
• Manage subcontractors to align with timelines, quality, and contract requirements.
• Conduct site visits to monitor progress and troubleshoot issues.
• Prepare project reports, risk registers, and stakeholder updates.
• Mentor junior engineers and contribute to process improvements.
