Job summary

Glanua is seeking a Senior Electrical Design Engineer to lead a design team delivering electrical solutions for water and wastewater projects. You will coordinate multi-disciplinary outputs under the guidance of a design manager, ensuring safety, quality and timely delivery across a portfolio of schemes.

The role emphasizes CDM compliance, technical leadership, and collaboration with clients to meet project objectives. On-site work in the UK with potential travel supports our growth strategy.

Qualifications

• Chartered or Incorporated engineer with water/wastewater design experience.
• Knowledge of CDM 2015 Designer duties.
• Experience leading a multi-disciplinary design team.
• Ability to manage design delivery and project plans.
• Strong communication and mentoring skills.

Responsibilities

• Report to the Design Manager.
• Produce design deliverables for water and process treatment plants.
• Assist in electrical design from surveys to detailed design and tender pricing.
• Produce procurement specs; cable calculations and drawings.
• Manage third party designs and liaise with clients and subcontractors.
• Lead a multidisciplinary team to deliver projects.
• Ensure H&S and CDM compliance in design.
• Monitor design delivery performance and adjust as needed.
• Develop business cases for onboarding staff and resource gaps.
• Provide leadership and mentoring to junior staff.
• Other duties as required.
