Job summary

Glanua is seeking a Senior Electrical Design Engineer to lead the design team across water and wastewater projects in the UK. You will coordinate deliverables from site surveys through construction drawings, ensuring CDM and HSE compliance while managing budgets and timelines.

The role requires an established track record in water sector design, leadership, and mentoring of junior engineers, with strong communication and client liaison skills. A full driving licence is preferred.

Qualifications

• Chartered or Incorporated IET member with water/wastewater design exposure.
• Experience leading a multidisciplinary design team and coordinating outputs.
• Strong knowledge of CDM 2015 duties and HSE-compliant design.

Responsibilities

• Lead design team across water and wastewater projects and report to Design Manager.
• Produce electrical design deliverables from site surveys to construction drawings.
• Manage procurement specs, cable calculations and detailed designs.
• Project-manage third party designs and liaise with clients and contractors.
• Monitor design delivery, adjust plans, and maintain change control.
