Job summary

AtkinsRéalis UK Limited is seeking an Associate or Associate Director Mechanical Engineer to lead the delivery of major water infrastructure projects across the UK. You will head multidisciplinary mechanical teams, provide technical leadership, and drive value for clients and partners.

Qualifications

• Degree in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent.
• Chartered Mechanical Engineer or extensive experience with proven value delivery.
• Experience leading multidisciplinary projects in the UK water sector.
• Knowledge of mechanical equipment, pumping and wastewater treatment processes.
• Strong communication and stakeholder engagement skills.

Responsibilities

• Lead and develop a team of Mechanical Engineers delivering high-quality solutions for water/wastewater projects.
• Provide technical leadership across the regional and national D&AT practice.
• Coordinate multidisciplinary teams across AtkinsRéalis, clients and partners to maximise project value.
• Develop and maintain strong client relationships and support business development.
• Collaborate with UK and international teams to deliver innovative and compliant outcomes.
• Mentor and strengthen the technical community within the practice.
