Job summary

Environment Agency in the Midlands seeks a Project Manager to lead and deliver flood risk management projects from strategic planning through feasibility, design, construction and handover. You will work within the Project & Programme Management (PPD) team, coordinating with suppliers, client representatives and technical specialists to protect communities and the environment.

The role demands strong contract, risk and stakeholder management, with occasional travel to project sites and partner

Qualifications

• Experienced in project and contract management.
• Feasibility assessment, asset management, business case development, cost monitoring/forecasting.
• Experience in engineering, construction and/or flood & coastal risk management.
• Proven ability to deliver results on technically challenging projects through coordination of a technical team.
• Ability to mentor and support teams in delivery.
• Strong interpersonal and influencing skills for stakeholder management.

Responsibilities

• Lead and deliver flood risk management projects from planning through handover.
• Coordinate with suppliers, client representatives, and technical specialists.
• Apply governance, contract and risk management processes to project delivery.
• Support teams and build high-performing project teams.
• Travel to project sites and partner offices as required.
