Job summary

Stantec is seeking a Principal EIA – DCO Consultant to lead Environmental Impact Assessments for Development Consent Order projects. The role is based in the UK with opportunities in Reading, London or Bristol, offering a hybrid working pattern and close collaboration with planners, engineers and environmental specialists.

You will coordinate multidisciplinary inputs, direct EIA strategies and support the full consenting lifecycle from scoping through examination, ensuring robust environmental

Qualifications

• Significant experience in Environmental Impact Assessment (EIA).
• Experience leading EIA for Development Consent Order (DCO) projects.
• Strong project management and stakeholder engagement skills.

Responsibilities

• Lead and coordinate EIA delivery for DCO applications and major infrastructure projects.
• Manage EIA workstreams through scoping, assessment, consultation and submission.
• Coordinate multidisciplinary inputs and ensure robust, integrated environmental assessments.
• Lead preparation and QA of Environmental Statements, scoping reports and related docs.
• Advise clients on EIA requirements, programme considerations and consenting risks.
• Support bids and business development in environmental assessment and consenting services.
