Job summary

GM Performance Power Units in Leeds seeks a skilled engineer to lead cross-disciplinary teams in developing cutting-edge MGU e-motor components for Formula 1. This role requires expertise in electromagnetics, mechanical design, and thermal management within a startup racing environment.

The successful candidate will have at least 8 years of experience in high-speed electric motors and in-depth knowledge of FIA regulations.

Qualifications

• 8+ years in high-speed electric motors, motorsport ERS, or hybrid powertrains.
• Hands-on motorsport prototyping and dynamometer testing experience.
• Fluent in GD&T standards and quality systems.

Responsibilities

• Lead teams to integrate MGU within hybrid powertrain.
• Oversee prototype development and testing programs.
• Direct design reviews and ensure compliance with FIA regulations.
