Job summary

GM Performance Power Units is looking for an experienced engineer to lead cross-disciplinary teams in developing the MGU e-motor components for Formula 1. You're expected to ensure maximum power density, efficiency, and safety compliance with FIA regulations.

Applicants should have 8+ years in high-speed electric motors or motorsport ERS, with strong expertise in CAD, thermal management, and advanced manufacturing.

Qualifications

• 8+ years of experience in high-speed electric motors or hybrid powertrains.
• Proven experience with rotor-stator integration and high-speed dynamics.
• Knowledge of advanced electromagnetic materials and manufacturing.

Responsibilities

• Lead cross-disciplinary teams for MGU e-motor component development.
• Oversee prototype development and testing programs.
• Drive research into next-gen materials and manufacturing advances.
