Job summary

National Highways is recruiting a Lead Service Manager to drive DevSecOps capabilities within Infrastructure & Platforms, delivering strategic outcomes across digital services.

The role blends leadership, governance, budgeting and supplier management, with two days per week in the office at any NH location across the UK. You will work within Cyber Security, Digital Operational Services and Digital Corporate and Shared Services to shape services.

Qualifications

• Extensive knowledge of cloud compute hyper-scalers (e.g. MS Azure, AWS).
• Proven ability to manage a DevSecOps delivery team through sprint cycles.
• Strong understanding of Agile and Azure DevOps (ADO) practices.
• Evidence of influencing team dynamics and cross-functional collaboration.
• Strong commercial and financial acumen to manage budgets and business outcomes.

Responsibilities

• Lead the DevSecOps delivery team to achieve sprint velocity and key outcomes.
• Prepare governance artifacts and secure funding for cloud initiatives.
• Oversee budgeting and vendor management for digital services.
• Collaborate with stakeholders across NH to align roadmaps.
• Provide direction on tooling and practices to meet user needs.
