Job summary

National Highways is seeking a Lead Service Manager to drive DevSecOps delivery within Infrastructure & Platforms. This hybrid role combines strategic governance, budgeting, and cloud compute roadmapping to deliver scalable digital services across the UK transport network.

The role requires managing a Senior Service Delivery Manager, coordinating with a third-party supplier, and travelling to attend team meetings. Strong Agile, cloud, and financial acumen are essential.

Qualifications

• Extensive knowledge of cloud platforms (Azure, AWS) and hybrid cloud strategies.
• Proven ability to lead a DevSecOps delivery team to meet sprint goals and business outcomes.
• Strong understanding of Agile and Azure DevOps processes and how to apply them in programmes.
• Demonstrated ability to influence team dynamics and collaborate across functions.
• Strong commercial and financial acumen and advising on budgeting.

Responsibilities

• Lead strategic delivery of cloud compute capabilities and roadmaps for Infrastructure & Platforms.
• Manage governance artefacts and funding for new cloud services.
• Oversee budget for DevSecOps practice and managed services contracts.
• Provide direction on tools and methods to meet user needs across channels.
• Line management of a Senior Service Delivery Manager / Product Owner and matrix management of a supplier.
• Travel to national offices as required for team meetings.
