Job summary

John Lewis Partnership is seeking a Technician Specialist to join a 2-person delivery crew, installing and demonstrating products in customers’ homes. This role covers loading, delivering large items, and coaching peers, with emphasis on outstanding customer service.

You will work across a 4-day, 41-hour week on a 5-week rota, including early mornings and weekend shifts. Training and accreditation will be provided, with DBS checks where required.

Qualifications

• Manual C1 UK driving licence required with up to 6 points.
• DCPC or Driver Qualification Card and Tachograph Card by day one.
• Experience driving a 7.5-tonne vehicle.
• Experience in a customer-facing role.
• Strong verbal communication skills both on the phone and in person.
• Good understanding of technology.

Responsibilities

• Be an ambassador for the John Lewis brand with top customer service as a priority.
• Coach and develop delivery driver colleagues and share knowledge to perform at their best.
• Assist loading the lorry and work with warehouse colleagues.
• Demonstrate respect for customers' homes and handle issues to find the best solutions.
• Install products efficiently and show customers how they work after installation.
• Keep up to date with new products and technologies to perform well.
• Maintain a safe working environment.
