Job summary

John Lewis is seeking Technician Specialists to join a two-person delivery crew, installing appliances and furniture at customers' homes in a 4-day, 41-hour week on a 5-week rota. You will coach fellow drivers, load deliveries with the warehouse team, and ensure safe, courteous service while representing the John Lewis brand.

Role involves heavy lifting and home installations, including white goods and furniture.

Qualifications

• Must have Manual C1 UK driving licence with max 6 points.
• DCPC or Driver Qualification Card to be obtained by day one.
• Tachograph Card required.
• Previous experience driving a 7.5-tonne vehicle is essential.
• Experience in a customer-facing role is required.
• Excellent verbal communication skills; able to converse clearly with customers.

Responsibilities

• Be an ambassador for the John Lewis brand with customer service as a priority.
• Coach and develop delivery drivers, sharing knowledge to perform at their best.
• Assist with loading the lorry alongside the warehouse team.
• Handle situations with respect and courtesy for customers' homes; find best solutions.
• Install products efficiently and demonstrate usage to customers after installation.
• Stay up-to-date with new products and technologies to perform well.
• Maintain a safe working environment.
