Job summary

JOHN LEWIS is seeking Technician Specialists to bring our distinctive service to customers' doors, installing furniture, kitchen appliances, sound systems and TVs as part of a 2-person delivery crew driving a 7.5-tonne vehicle from a Leeds hub.

You will coach other delivery drivers on home installations and customer service, acting as a role model for the brand while handling heavy items and maintaining safety standards.

Qualifications

• Valid Manual C1 UK driving licence with up to 6 points.
• DCPC or Driver CPC Card and Tachograph Card required by day one.
• Experience driving a 7.5-tonne vehicle.
• Experience in a customer-facing role.
• Ability to perform heavy lifting and install products.

Responsibilities

• Be an ambassador for the John Lewis brand with excellent customer service.
• Coach and develop delivery driver colleagues and share product knowledge.
• Assist loading the lorry with deliveries with the warehouse team.
• Respect the customer’s home and handle complex situations to find solutions.
• Install products efficiently and demonstrate their use after installation.
• Keep up to date with new products and technologies for continuous improvement.
• Maintain a safe working environment and comply with safety standards.
