A leading infrastructure organization is seeking a qualified individual for a Commercial Assurance & Contract Audit role in York and North Yorkshire. This position involves supporting the annual commercial assurance and contract audit plan, conducting thorough supplier analysis, and ensuring adherence to complex contracts. Candidates should have a relevant degree and experience in audit management, alongside strong communication and analysis skills. With a clear spending plan for the next 5 years and a huge budget, this role is vital in making sure that the money is spent correctly and in adherence to complex contracts. With a head office in West Yorkshire and a hybrid working policy of 1/2 days in the office, you could realistically travel to the office from across most of the North.
This role will support the delivery of the annual commercial assurance and contract audit plan, and undertake commercial contract assurance reviews, to assess compliance with commercial contract arrangements, with a view to identifying value leakage and improvement areas. In addition, you will undertake complex supplier analysis to identify any exceptions and develop a detailed understanding of the commercial arrangements, as well as undertaking trend spotting with our commercial supply with a view to identifying financial and commercial opportunities, and working with key external audit partners to support the delivery of the audit plan.
