Job summary

National Highways is seeking a Lead Service Manager to drive strategic outcomes within Digital Services. The role focuses on DevSecOps delivery, cloud compute roadmaps, and governance for new cloud services, with a hybrid work pattern requiring two days in the office across the UK.

The Lead Service Manager will manage a senior delivery manager and a third‑party supplier, ensuring value, funding, and timely delivery while maintaining strong financial acumen and stakeholder engagement.

Qualifications

• Extensive knowledge of cloud compute hyper‑scalers (e.g. Azure, AWS).
• Proven ability to lead a DevSecOps delivery team to achieve sprint velocity and business outcomes.
• Strong understanding of Agile and Azure DevOps principles and processes.

Responsibilities

• Deliver strategic outcomes using DevSecOps within Infrastructure & Platforms.
• Manage full cycle of new deliveries from scoping to funding to handover.
• Budget management for the DevSecOps practice and managed services contracts.
• Prepare governance artifacts for commercial sourcing of cloud services.
