Job summary

National Highways seeks a Lead Service Manager to drive DevSecOps capability within the Digital Services function. This agile-delivery role focuses on strategy and delivery across Infrastructure & Platforms, with two office days per week across UK locations.

You will manage budgets, governance artifacts, and roadmaps, ensuring alignment with commercial objectives and handover to BAU Run. This is a hybrid role supporting multiple locations nationwide.

Qualifications

• Extensive knowledge of cloud compute hyper-scalers (e.g., Azure, AWS).
• Proven ability to manage a DevSecOps delivery team for sprint velocity.
• Strong understanding of Agile and Azure DevOps processes.
• Experience influencing team dynamics and stakeholder collaboration.
• Strong commercial and financial acumen.

Responsibilities

• Deliver strategic outcomes using the DevSecOps capability within Infrastructure & Platforms.
• Manage the budget for the DevSecOps practice and managed services contract.
• Prepare governance artifacts for the commercial sourcing of new cloud compute services.
• Provide strategic input into short, mid and long-term cloud compute roadmaps.
• Lead the team and collaborate with third-party suppliers to meet delivery goals.
