Job summary

Agincare seeks an experienced Registered Manager for a brand new not-for-profit childrens residential home. The role is based in York and focuses on leading a team to deliver high-quality care for children with learning disabilities and other complex needs.

You will establish the service, ensure regulatory compliance, and foster a safe, positive environment for children and staff from day one.

Qualifications

• Level 5 Diploma in Leadership and Management for Residential Childcare (England) or equivalent.
• Minimum of 3 years experience in childrens residential care, including at least 3 years in a managerial or leadership role.
• In-depth knowledge of safeguarding, Ofsted regulations, and relevant legislation in childrens services.
• Experience in planning and implementing care plans and maintaining documentation to a high standard in line with Children’s Homes (England) Regulations 2015 and Quality Standards.
• Experience supporting children and young people with learning disabilities who may display complex behaviours.
• Experience leading Ofsted home inspections.

Responsibilities

• Oversee day-to-day operations of the residential home.
• Lead and support teams of Support Workers and Senior Support Workers.
• Act as corporate parent and ensure high-quality care delivery.
• Establish and develop the new service ensuring regulatory compliance.
• Embed best practice and oversee compliance with safeguarding and legislation.
