Job summary

Agincare is launching a brand-new not-for-profit Children's Services Residential Home in York and is appointing an Ofsted Registered Manager to lead the provision. You will oversee day-to-day operations, lead teams of Support Workers and Senior Support Workers, and ensure safeguarding, regulatory compliance, and high-quality care for children with learning disabilities.

This role offers the chance to shape best practice from the outset, drive service development, and deliver outstanding outcomes

Qualifications

• Level 5 Diploma in Leadership and Management for Residential Childcare (England) (or equivalent).
• Minimum of 3 years experience in children’s residential care, including at least 3 years in a managerial or leadership role.
• In-depth knowledge of safeguarding, Ofsted regulations, and relevant legislation in children’s services.
• Experience in planning and implementing care plans and maintaining documentation to a high standard in line with Children’s Homes (England) Regulations 2015 and Quality Standards.
• Experience supporting children and young people with learning disabilities who may display complex behaviours.
• Experience leading Ofsted home inspections.

Responsibilities

• Lead, manage and support teams of Support Workers and Senior Support Workers across the home.
• Act as corporate parent; ensure high-quality care and compliance with regulatory requirements.
• Establish and develop the new service to deliver outstanding outcomes for the children and young people we support.
