Job summary

Agincare is seeking an Ofsted Registered Manager for a brand-new not-for-profit Children's Services Residential Home in York, serving children with learning disabilities and complex needs.

You will lead and develop the home, manage experienced teams, ensure compliance with regulations, and drive outstanding care outcomes from day one. This role offers the chance to shape a pioneering service within a supportive, values-led organisation.

Qualifications

• Level 5 Diploma in Leadership and Management for Residential Childcare (England) or equivalent.
• Minimum 3 years in children's residential care, including at least 3 years in a managerial or leadership role.
• In-depth knowledge of safeguarding, Ofsted regulations, and relevant legislation in children's services.
• Experience planning and implementing care plans and maintaining documentation to a high standard in line with Children's Homes (England) Regulations 2015 and Quality Standards.
• Experience supporting children and young people with learning disabilities who may display complex behaviours.
• Experience leading Ofsted home inspections.

Responsibilities

• Lead and manage teams across the home to deliver high-quality care.
• Develop and implement the new residential service in York.
• Ensure full regulatory compliance with Care Quality Commission and Ofsted.
• Act as corporate parent to children and support staff to achieve outstanding outcomes.
