Job summary

Agincare is seeking an Ofsted Registered Manager to lead our brand new not-for-profit Children’s Services Residential Home in York, caring for children with learning disabilities and other complex needs. You will oversee day-to-day operations, support teams, and ensure outstanding care and full regulatory compliance.

As an experienced manager, you will establish the service, drive best practice, and work to deliver positive outcomes for the children and young people we support.

Qualifications

• Level 5 Diploma in Leadership and Management for Residential Childcare (England) or equivalent.
• Minimum 3 years experience in childrens residential care, including at least 3 years in a managerial or leadership role.
• In-depth knowledge of safeguarding, Ofsted regulations, and relevant legislation in childrens services.
• Experience in planning and implementing care plans and maintaining documentation to a high standard in line with Children’s Homes (England) Regulations 2015 and Quality Standards.
• Experience supporting children and young people with learning disabilities who may display complex behaviours.
• Experience leading Ofsted home inspections.

Responsibilities

• Act as corporate parent to the children we care for.
• Ensure high-quality care delivery and regulatory compliance.
