Laundry Assistant

40 hours per week working 5 days over 7

Starting salary of up to £25,397 per annum plus tronc

We are seeking a detail-oriented and hardworking individual to join our team as a Laundry Assistant/ Operative. As a Laundry Operative, you will play a crucial role in maintaining the cleanliness and functionality of our laundry facilities.

Swinton Estate is situated in the Yorkshire Dales and is one of the largest privately owned estates in England. Constantly developing we boast Swinton Park, a luxury traditional castle hotel with 42 bedrooms, three holiday cottages and award winning Samuel’s Restaurant; a luxurious country club and spa including the contemporary Terrace Restaurant; Swinton Bivouac a glamping site with tree lodges, yurts and café, and last but by no means least the Swinton cookery school.

Duties and responsibilities
  • Collect linen from Swinton Park Hotel, Swinton Country Club & Spa and Swinton Bivouac
  • Operate industrial washing machines, dryers, and other laundry equipment
  • Fold, stack, and package laundered items neatly and efficiently
  • Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the laundry area
  • Assist in inventory management and report any shortages or discrepancies
  • Collaborate with team members to meet production targets and deadlines
  • Deliver clean linens and garments to the appropriate departments
  • Follow safety and sanitation guidelines, ensuring proper handling of hazardous materials
  • Provide exceptional customer service and address inquiries or requests promptly
Candidates should
  • Have experience in a cleaning environment
  • Have a valid UK driving license
